Privacy Policy
CognitGo ("CognitGo," "we," "us," or "our") provides communication infrastructure for franchised new-car dealerships. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://cognitgo.ai/, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the people who visit it or contact us. It does not cover the personal information we handle for our dealer clients about their customers — that's addressed separately in the section "Information we process for our dealer clients" below.
By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form, request a sample report, book a call, or otherwise contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company or dealership name, job title, and anything you choose to include in a message to us.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and similar usage data. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not knowingly collect more than this from website visitors.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- respond to your questions and requests;
- send you the sample report, materials, or follow-up you asked for;
- schedule and conduct calls you request;
- operate, maintain, and improve the website;
- communicate with you about our services (you can opt out of marketing messages at any time); and
- comply with our legal obligations.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — for example, website hosting, email delivery, scheduling, and analytics — and only so they can perform those services for us;
- Legal and safety reasons — if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public; and
- Business transfers — if CognitGo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we'll notify you of any change.
Information we process for our dealer clients
When CognitGo provides services to a dealership — including outbound phone follow-up by our BDC team — we may collect and process personal information about that dealership's customers (such as names, phone numbers, and vehicle or service details). When we do this, we act on the dealership's behalf and under our service agreement with that dealership. The dealership, not CognitGo, is responsible for that information and for the basis on which their customers are contacted.
If you are a customer of one of our dealer clients and have a question or request about your information, please contact the dealership you did business with. You may also contact us at support@cognitgo.net and we will work with the dealership to address it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- access a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information; and
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (note: we do not sell your information).
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.
To make a request, contact us at support@cognitgo.net. We may need to verify your identity before we act on it.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be posted on this page.
